Driving in Andalusia

Drive on the right, AP-7 is mostly free along the coast, ZBE low-emission zones limit older diesels in city centers.

Costa del Sol along the AP-7 is dense with chargers. Inland and white villages are sparse — plan stops and apps.

Basic insurance has a high excess and a €200–€1,500 deposit. Full-cover (excess waiver) usually eliminates both for a per-day fee.

Never drive into a casco antiguo. Park at the edge in a paid lot and walk in.

You pick up the car with a full tank and return it full. Anything else (prepaid, half-tank) is almost always a worse deal.
