Privacy policy

This policy explains what data rent-car-marbella.com collects, why, and what rights you have. Short version: we run cookieless analytics, we store the booking requests you send us, and nothing else.

What we collect

We collect two kinds of data: anonymous usage statistics for every visitor, and the details you actively send us when you submit a booking request. We do not use advertising cookies, we do not build marketing profiles, and we never sell data to anyone.

Analytics & session replay

We use a self-hosted instance of Umami, hosted at umami.safercase.app, to understand how the site is used. Umami is cookieless and does not store personal identifiers; it records aggregated page views, referrers and approximate location at country level.

We also run Umami's session replay, which records anonymised page interactions — clicks, scrolling and navigation — so we can find usability problems. Replays are used only internally to improve the site and are not shared with third parties.

Booking requests

When you send a booking request we store your name, your email address and, if you provide them, your phone number and message in our own PostgreSQL database on our own infrastructure. We use these details for one purpose only: to answer your request and arrange the rental with our partners. They are not used for newsletters or advertising.

Retention & your rights

Booking-request data is kept only as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up, after which it can be deleted. You can ask at any time what data we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted — email [Contact email] and we will act on it. Our servers and data are hosted within the European Union.
