Park once and walk: the centre is a camera-enforced low-emission zone and the Albaicín is a lattice of one-way lanes with bollards. Use the paid underground car parks near Puerta Real, the cathedral or the Triunfo gardens. For the Alhambra, use its own car park off the Ronda Sur rather than approaching from the old town. Albaicín hotels often have no garage at all — confirm before arriving with luggage.
Possibly, and most Costa del Sol rental fleets do not carry them as standard. The A-395 climbs from Granada to the ski station in about 45 minutes, and after snowfall the access road can require winter tyres or chains between roughly December and April. Ask the supplier before you book if a ski trip is the plan, and check conditions the morning you drive up.
